Amy Brouard
I started my teaching career in Bath, where I completed a degree in Education followed by my PGCE qualification. I was then fortunate enough to begin my journey as a newly qualified teacher at Castle Cary Primary School, in 2007. I became part of the Senior Leadership team in 2012 and then took on the role of Deputy Head after having my two children in 2018. I took on the role of Headteacher in 2025, following the retirement of the previous Headteacher. I am passionate about providing an education which supports children to flourish in all aspects of life and believe that education should be about the whole child. I have been a part of the community in Castle Cary for many years and strive to ensure that we create learning experiences which cultivate independent, unique learners who are empowered to make a difference to their community.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, and my two children. We love to travel and spend lots of time outdoors!
